We built BT Learning Lab to proactively prepare learners for every 40-hour training requirement. Here is how each requirement is supported in the platform.
Full A–H curriculum coverage
BACB requirement
All 8 sections must be taught within a service delivery context. Sections total 38 hours; 2 hours may be distributed across any section.
How we handle it
Every lesson maps to the BACB curriculum outline. Section hours are enforced — trainees cannot skip or rush through content.
40 hours over at least 5 days
BACB requirement
Training must span no fewer than 5 days and no more than 180 days. Each section has a minimum duration.
How we handle it
Hour and calendar tracking is automatic. The platform enforces the 5-day minimum and flags trainees approaching the 180-day limit.
BACB-compliant training certificate
BACB requirement
Must include: trainee name & BACB ID, training dates, hours completed, Responsible Trainer name & cert #, signature or branding, and the required independence statement.
How we handle it
Certificates auto-generate with all required fields on completion. The required BACB independence statement is pre-populated.
Record retention
BACB requirement
The Responsible Trainer must maintain documentation of each training — attendees, partial completions, dates — for a minimum of 7 years.
