1. Who we are

BT Learning Lab is operated by BehaviorChain LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These terms apply to both the marketing site at https://btlearninglab.com and the training platform at https://app.btlearninglab.com (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account, purchasing a seat, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. What this training is, and what it is not

We provide a self-paced, 40-hour training program designed to meet the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s 2026 training eligibility requirement for Registered Behavior Technician applicants.

The 40-hour training is offered independent of the BACB and is not accredited, approved, or endorsed by it. We separately hold BACB Authorized Continuing Education provider status, which applies only to our continuing education courses and does not extend to the 40-hour training. Completing our training does not certify you as an RBT. Certification requires separately satisfying the BACB’s remaining requirements, including the competency assessment, background check, and certification exam, none of which we administer or control.

We do not guarantee that you will complete the training, pass any assessment or exam, obtain certification, or obtain employment. The BACB may change its requirements at any time; while we work to keep the curriculum aligned, we cannot guarantee that any given requirement will remain unchanged after your enrollment.

Continuing education. We also offer continuing education as a BACB Authorized Continuing Education (ACE) provider: Learning CEUs for BCBA and BCaBA certificants, and professional development units for RBT certificants. These are a separate product from the 40-hour training and do not count toward the RBT training eligibility requirement. The BACB does not review or approve individual events offered by ACE providers, and our authorization as a provider does not imply that the BACB has accredited, approved, or endorsed any particular course.

Continuing education requirements differ by credential and are set by your certifying body, not by us. Confirm what your credential requires, and in which categories, before purchasing. We do not guarantee that any course will satisfy a requirement we did not state it satisfies.

“BACB,” “RBT,” and “Registered Behavior Technician” are trademarks of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. We use them only to describe the training we offer.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and enroll.
  • You must provide accurate registration information, including the legal name and BACB ID that should appear on your training certificate. Inaccurate information may make your certificate unusable.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

4. Accounts and seats

A seat entitles one named individual to complete the training. Because training records must accurately reflect the work of a single person, account sharing is prohibited.

  • Do not share your login, let another person complete coursework on your behalf, or complete coursework on behalf of someone else.
  • Do not use automated tools, scripts, or any other method to accrue training hours you did not actually spend engaged with the material.
  • We may suspend or void training records, certificates, and accounts that we reasonably believe were obtained through sharing, automation, or misrepresentation, and we do so without refund.

5. Training delivery and completion

The training is self-paced within the limits the BACB imposes. Training must span no fewer than 5 days and must be completed within 180 days of starting. The platform tracks your hours and calendar days and will flag you as you approach the 180-day limit.

On completion, we issue a training certificate containing the fields the BACB requires, including your name and BACB ID, the training dates and hours completed, and the Responsible Trainer’s name and certification number. If you do not complete the training within 180 days, your hours may no longer count toward the eligibility requirement and you may need to start over. Restarting may require a new purchase.

6. Organization and supervisor accounts

Organizations may purchase seats in bulk and assign them to trainees. If you were enrolled by an employer, agency, or supervisor, that organization’s administrators can see information about your participation, including your enrollment status, progress through the curriculum, hours and days accrued, assessment and mock exam results, and completion status.

Organizations are responsible for having the authority and any consent necessary to enroll their trainees and to receive that information, and for using it lawfully. Organizations purchasing seats may be subject to a separate written agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.

7. Pricing and payment

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars. The 40-hour training is charged per seat as a one-time fee. Continuing education courses are priced individually, per course. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Promotional pricing is available only while advertised and does not apply retroactively to prior purchases.
  • We may change our prices at any time. A price change never affects a purchase you have already completed.

8. Refunds

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Course content and intellectual property

The curriculum, lessons, guided notes, practice questions, mock exams, videos, and all other material in the Services are owned by BehaviorChain LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the content for your own training. You may not:

  • Copy, download, record, screen-capture, or reproduce the content for distribution.
  • Resell, sublicense, publish, or share the content with anyone else.
  • Use the content, or your access to it, to build, train, or improve a competing training product, including as input to a machine learning model.
  • Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or attribution notice.

You keep ownership of anything you submit, such as notes or responses. You grant us a license to host, store, and process that material as needed to operate the Services and to maintain your training records.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or their infrastructure.
  • Scrape or harvest content or data from the Services by automated means.
  • Upload malicious code, or use the Services to harass others or violate the law.
  • Misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any person or organization.

11. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties for hosting, payment processing, and email delivery, and may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices, and your use of a linked service is governed by that service’s own terms.

12. Disclaimers

Except where the law does not allow it, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is free of inaccuracies.

Nothing in the Services is legal, clinical, or professional advice. You are responsible for confirming your own certification requirements with the BACB.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BehaviorChain LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost certification, employment, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to the Services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the seat giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BehaviorChain LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of another person or organization.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your conduct compromises the integrity of the training or another user.

If we terminate your account for a breach, you are not entitled to a refund. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination. We retain completed training records as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Each version carries a version identifier and an effective date, both shown at the top of this page. The version in effect when you accepted is the version that governs your purchase.

If we make a material change, we will give notice through the Services or by email before it takes effect, and we may ask you to accept the new version before continuing to use the Services. Continued use after a non-material change means you accept it.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and BehaviorChain LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California for any dispute that is not otherwise resolved.

18. General

These terms, together with the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and BehaviorChain LLC regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

19. Contact

Questions about these terms can go to support@behaviorchainllc.com or through our contact form. BehaviorChain LLC does business in California, United States.
